Time to make the Magdalen Green riddle.
For Magdalen Green, I’ve had the same issue for a long time: In Magdalen Green, the only feasible text elements to use for a riddle have been the benches that are dedicated to people. I just feel iffy about using text dedicated to dead people.
So, I’ll steal from what originally was Elaine’s riddles. Elaine was supposed to be more visual, so her riddles were supposed to be too. So, instead, I’ll remove an element, like, trees from the environment. And let player add those in. You’ll see what I mean soon.
This will need a lot of drawing but that is nothing new.
I’ll need go by Magdalen Green to take some photographs.
I’ll use this one, as I hope that the road and the red building thing will be enough to guide the players to the right place even after removing the trees and the benches. Only way to find out is test, but I have other plans for Magdalen Green too so it’s okay.
Time to erase the trees and benches while waiting for the food to be ready and listening to something nice.
There we are. Time save this as a JPG.
Then, before moving to Unity, I’ll make some tree, bench, and rock symbols.
Okay nice.
Now I’ll export it as PNG and bring everything to Unity!
Let’s first change the background.
Nice. Let’s also re-scale the trigger to open the riddle.
As for the riddle, first thing I’ll remove most of the slots and most of the letters.
