Today, I finished off the twine prototype I started last week (which I didn’t write about but I don’t have all the time in the world) and tested it on a friend.
I prototyped the story in Dundee that you can play in any order by visiting the different areas in the game. I did four scenes in twine, using a story I’d already written before. I then put character art and pictures of Dundee together in Krita for visualisation.
I also took care to make a small plot hook at the end of each scene, and try to make the characters consistent, no matter where you approach the story from.
